Proofread / Fact Check

This is a short fiction piece that was written by one of my classmates from my Editing and Publishing class. Throughout the quarter, we had several writing exercises. We would choose one of four student-written prompts, or “calls for submissions,” to develop into a short, two-page story. These stories would be treated as though they were being sent for publication in a magazine or journal, and I was assigned to peer review this story. I searched for any spelling and grammatical errors, additionally noting any parts of the story that could be fact-checked.
